Basketball Recap: Shepherd Takes a Loss

Shepherd and Sweet Grass County squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Shepherd had to settle for second. They fell to the Sweet Grass County Sheepherders 44-38. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sheepherders earlier this season, when they won 44-39.

Shepherd's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Sweet Grass County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Red Lodge the next time they take the court. Shepherd will head out to face Red Lodge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Sweet Grass County will host them on Saturday.
