Basketball Recap: Mill River's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Otter Valley, Mill River was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 40-36 win over the Sharon Academy Phoenix. The victory was some much needed relief for the Minutemen as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Mill River's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Sharon Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mill River will venture away from home to take on Proctor at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sharon Academy, they will head out to square off against Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
