Basketball Recap: Treasure Coast Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Treasure Coast can now relate to. They took a hard 60-44 fall against the Central Cobras on Wednesday. The Titans have struggled against the Cobras recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Central had a senior duo take command as Christopher Maxon posted 13 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds and Joseph Gayle went 8 of 15 en route to 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gayle has scored at least a third of Central's points. Another player making a difference was Christian Maxon, who had 11 points.

Treasure Coast's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Central, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

Treasure Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they will be playing at home against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matchups -- so hopefully Centennial likes a good challenge.
