Basketball Game Preview: Delmarva Christian Royals vs. Nandua Warriors

The Delmarva Christian Royals will challenge the Nandua Warriors at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Delmarva Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.

Back in December of 2024, the stars were shining brightly for Delmarva Christian in a 61-46 victory over Lake Forest. The win was all the more spectacular given the Royals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Spartans are ranked 26th).

Delmarva Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Darius Liles out in front who went 9 for 20 on his way to 23 points along with five assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Malachi Light, who went 5 of 10 en route to 15 points.

Liles wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Delmarva Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six games, Nandua finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 65-27 defeat at the hands of Crisfield. It was the first time this season that the Warriors let down their fans at home.

Nandua's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Delmarva Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
