Baseball Game Preview: Crestline Bulldogs vs. Black River Pirates

The Crestline Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Black River Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Crestline will be strutting in after a win while Black River will be coming in after a loss.

While Bulldogs fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over Cory-Rawson on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Quentin Kapp and Dawson Hefner made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Kapp pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hefner pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Kapp scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Hefner scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Black River unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 4-1 to Midview on Wednesday.
