Basketball Recap: Diagonal Takes a Loss

Diagonal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 51-43 to the Murray Mustangs. The Maroons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 37-35.

Diagonal's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Murray, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Coming up, Diagonal and Mormon Trail will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Murray, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lamoni at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be up against the Demons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.64 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
