Volleyball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the MacArthur Brahmas. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Brahmas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Thursday.

MacArthur got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christa Lynch out in front who had eight digs, five kills, and two aces. That's the most digs Lynch has posted over her last five games. Sadie Becho was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for MacArthur, their record now sits at 13-9.

Marshall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Gregory-Portland on the 30th. As for MacArthur, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Taft on the 30th.
