Basketball Recap: Oasis Christian Falls to Calvary Chapel Academy in First Game of Season

Oasis Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 52-31 to the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Oasis Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Amber Whittington posted seven points along with six steals and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Roberts, who scored 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Oasis Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-27 win against Cristo Rey Tampa on the 18th. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-26 loss against West Shore on the 20th.
