Soccer Game Preview: Kimberly vs. Beloit Memorial

The Kimberly Papermakers will take on the Beloit Memorial Purple Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kimberly's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, neither Kimberly nor Hortonville could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Beloit Memorial came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Beloit Memorial, who have now won ten matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Wilmot from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Banks Denu led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Kimberly's draw makes their record 4-5-5 this season. As for Beloit Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 13-1-2.
