Basketball Game Recap: South Shelby vs. Brookfield

After having lost a blowout in their game last week, the South Shelby Cardinals were happy to find some success on Tuesday. They secured a 40-34 W over the Brookfield Bulldogs. Since the Cardinals won the last time these teams met, too, this is only more fuel for the fire driving Brookfield's future revenge.

The win got South Shelby back to even at 11-11. This is the second loss in a row for Brookfield and nudges their record down to 10-11.

South Shelby will square off against Clark County Friday. South Shelby is at home for the contest, a silver lining they hope will compensate for their disadvantage in the MaxPreps rankings. Brookfield is staying on the road Friday to face off against Macon. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, the Bulldogs now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
