Recap: Carson Senators vs. McQueen Lancers

The Carson Senators's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 51-39 victory over McQueen. The victory was just what Carson needed coming off of a 57-16 defeat in their prior match.

Leading Carson to victory were Kiele Franco and Lauren Finnerty. Franco scored 11 points, while Finnerty scored 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Franco has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Rabideau, who scored three points along with four steals.

McQueen's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caitlin Hilson, who scored nine points along with 18 rebounds and four steals, and Audrey Baumgardner who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.

Carson's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for McQueen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Carson will challenge Spanish Springs at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Spanish Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for McQueen, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Reed at 5:15 p.m. Reed is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
