 Palma was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  6-3 to the St. Francis Sharks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Palma of the  8-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April.
  Manny Dorantes was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaleb Shannon, who  went 3-for-4 with  an  RBI.
 On St. Francis' side,  Trey Silva and  Micah Cervantes made a splash while hitting and pitching. Meanwhile,  Cervantes   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Silva has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Silva  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI, while  Cervantes  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  JR Pedro Ibarra, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Adrian Leon, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Palma's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-11. As for St. Francis, the  victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palma will take on Monte Vista Christian at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Monte Vista Christian is coming into the  contest with 14 straight  defeats on the road,  meaning Palma will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win. As for St. Francis, they will be playing at home against Monterey at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Monterey will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
