Baseball Game Preview: Hillel Academy Heat vs. Northgate Flames

The Hillel Academy Heat will head out on the road to face off against the Northgate Flames at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillel Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Northgate will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Hillel Academy made easy work of Aquinas Academy and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Heat.

Ezra Goldberg made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Goldberg was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Zach Itzkowitz was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Shlomo Blalock was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hillel Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aquinas Academy only posted a batting average of .150.

Meanwhile, Northgate came up short against Freedom Area on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Flames haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hillel Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
