Volleyball Recap: Ord Chanticleers vs. Broken Bow Indians
Ord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of the Broken Bow Indians by a score of 2-1. While the Chanticleers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-20 in the first set.
Ord started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-17.
Broken Bow can attribute much of their success to Maren Chapin, who had five kills, five digs, and 24 assists.
Ord's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Broken Bow, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ord will host Arcadia/Loup City on Thursday. As for Broken Bow, they will challenge Ogallala on Thursday.
