Basketball Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady lost against Shaker back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Schenectady Patriots were dealt a 94-61 defeat at the hands of the Shaker Bison. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 497th, while the Bison are ranked 15th).

Schenectady's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Shaker, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schenectady will venture away from home to square off against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shaker, they will square off against Niskayuna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
