Softball Recap: Basic Wolves vs. Silverado Skyhawks
Basic had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Silverado Skyhawks 12-1 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won six matches in a row dating back to last season.
Mia Frias and Melanie Hughes made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Frias tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Basic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
