Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Trinity Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-50 W against the Brentwood War Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-30 back in January.

Brentwood's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cadence English, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 40% of Brentwood's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Rizner, who earned eight points along with ten boards and five steals.

Trinity Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Brentwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6.

As of now, neither Trinity Christian nor Brentwood have any future games scheduled.
