Soccer Preview: Nederland vs. Campion Academy
The Nederland Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Campion Academy Cougars at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Wednesday, Nederland suffered a tough 10-1 defeat at the hands of Loveland Classical. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Nederland was already down 5-0.

While losing is never fun, Campion Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Loveland Classical is ranked 41st).
Nederland now has a losing record at 3-4-2. As for Campion Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything went Nederland's way against Campion Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 as Nederland made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nederland since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
