Basketball Game Preview: Delavan-Darien Comets vs. Jefferson Eagles

The Delavan-Darien Comets will challenge the Jefferson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Thursday, Delavan-Darien made easy work of Monroe and carried off a 61-39 win. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Cheesemakers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 67-28 win over Whitewater. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Delavan-Darien's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Delavan-Darien strolled past Jefferson when the teams last played back in December of 2025 by a score of 54-38. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
