Basketball Recap: Excelsior Springs Comes Up Short

Excelsior Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Truman Patriots, falling 83-36. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-22.

Excelsior Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Truman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Excelsior Springs Tigers duke it out with the Raytown South Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Truman, they will venture away from home to take on Grain Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
