Basketball Recap: Global Outreach Charter Academy Falls Short of Episcopal School of Jacksonville in the Playoffs

Global Outreach Charter Academy and Episcopal School of Jacksonville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Global Outreach Charter Academy had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles 62-15. While losing is never fun, the Kodiaks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 599th, while the Eagles are ranked 215th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Episcopal School of Jacksonville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madi McClure, who went 6 of 7 en route to 16 points. The dominant performance gave McClure a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Zara Griffith, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 12 points.

Global Outreach Charter Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-13.
