Football Game Preview: Oceanside Pirates vs. Del Norte Nighthawks + Official Tickets

The Oceanside Pirates will square off against the Del Norte Nighthawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Oceanside has given up an average of 37.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oceanside came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 52-27 to San Marcos. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Neke Letuli and Zamar Reese. Reese had a great game and rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Letuli was balling out in the loss, rushing for 168 yards while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Del Norte lost to Rancho Bernardo at home by a 31-17 margin on Friday.

Del Norte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Oceanside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
