Fossil Ridge is a perfect 6-0 against Loveland since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The SaberCats will square off against the Red Wolves at 6:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fossil Ridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Mountain Vista, who was ranked fifth at the time (Fossil Ridge was ranked third). The SaberCats fell 2-0 to the Golden Eagles on Saturday. The loss was Fossil Ridge's first of the season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Loveland and Poudre, and Poudre kept the tradition alive. The Red Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Impalas on Tuesday.

Loveland's goal came courtesy of Makenna Bruno, who's now up to eight this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fossil Ridge fell to 6-1-4. As for Loveland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Fossil Ridge took their victory against Loveland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the SaberCats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
