Volleyball Recap: Fremont Falls Short of Fort Wayne Canterbury in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fremont can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since September 30th.

Fort Wayne Canterbury can attribute much of their success to Caroline Hirschy, who had 12 digs and two aces. Hirschy has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Fremont has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-8.

Fremont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hamilton on the 18th.
