Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dublin Jerome). They put the hurt on the Groveport-Madison Cruisers with a sharp 8-0 victory on Wednesday. Given Dublin Jerome's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Groveport-Madison are ranked 388th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dublin Jerome's offense was hitting Groveport-Madison from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Nick Myers led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Dublin Jerome pushed their record up to 10-3-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Groveport-Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

As of now, neither Dublin Jerome nor the Cruisers have any future games scheduled.
