Baseball Game Preview: Sundown Roughnecks vs. Ralls Jackrabbits

The Sundown Roughnecks are taking a road trip to take on the Ralls Jackrabbits at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sundown is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Littlefield on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Wildcats. The loss was the Roughnecks' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Ralls has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell just short of Petersburg by a score of 10-8. The Jackrabbits' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Ralls' loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Sundown, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Sundown couldn't quite finish off Ralls in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 and fell 6-4. Can Sundown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
