Softball Recap: Mount View Takes a Loss

Mount View was the 13-3 winner over Winslow when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 12-8 to the Black Raiders on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison Bennett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Richards, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Mount View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Winslow, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount View will head out to take on Old Orchard Beach at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winslow, they will face off against Erskine Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
