Softball Recap: Galva Takes a Loss

Galva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Annawan-Wethersfield Titans, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Tuesday.

Kaylyn Gale was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.

Galva's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Annawan-Wethersfield, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-15.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Galva is set to challenge their familiar foe Bureau Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Annawan-Wethersfield will face off against rival Princeville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
