Baseball Recap: Gardner-South Wilmington Takes a Loss

Gardner-South Wilmington came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-4 to the Clifton Central Comets. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Comets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Ryan Millette made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Gardner-South Wilmington's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-8. As for Clifton Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

While Gardner-South Wilmington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
