Softball Recap: Wethersfield Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wethersfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Rocky Hill Terriers on Friday as they made off with a 12-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Wethersfield's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Rocky Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Wethersfield will face off against Hartford Public at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rocky Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
