Volleyball Recap: Northside Christian Now 11-3 over Last 14 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northside Christian had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Shorecrest Prep Chargers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-14.

Brielle Nestor paced Northside Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Nestor got some help from Elle Smith and her 32 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the defeat, Shorecrest Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sara Ferris had nine assists and five digs.

Northside Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Shorecrest Prep, they dropped their record down to 17-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Northside Christian will face off against Indian Rocks Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Shorecrest Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
