Basketball Recap: Berrien Comes Up Short

Berrien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 73-60 to the Bacon County Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-42 back in January.

Xavier Harris was his usual excellent self, putting up 30 points for Bacon County. Bacon County is undefeated when Harris posts 25 or more points, but 5-9 otherwise. Santiago Bizzell was another key player, earning 14 points.

Berrien's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Bacon County, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fitzgerald the next time they take the court. Berrien will host Fitzgerald at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Bacon County will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
