Softball Game Preview: Princeton Panthers vs. Plano West Wolves

The Princeton Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Plano West Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Princeton has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 28.

Princeton fell victim to Allen and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 17-0 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Plano West was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 12-9 victory over Allen. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 25, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Plano West let Brooke Reasoner and Abby Jennings run wild. Reasoner went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Jennings scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Jennings has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amber Carrillo, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Plano West's record now sits at 15-8. As for Princeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18-1.

Princeton might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Plano West in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
