Baseball Recap: Mayfair Beats Troy for Their Third Straight Win

Mayfair put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Troy Warriors. The Monsoons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

David Perez looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Corros, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Mayfair's record is now 3-0. As for Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayfair will venture away from home to square off against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Troy, they will head out to challenge Sage Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
