Football Game Recap: Newberry Academy/Cambridge Academy/Palmetto Christian Academy vs. Jefferson Davis Academy

On Friday, Jefferson Davis Academy put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Newberry Academy/Cambridge Academy/Palmetto Christian Academy 46-0. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.

Senior Jimmy Bozard, who, was a major factor in Jefferson Davis Academy's success. Junior Nick Darnell was in the mix, too, providing Jefferson Davis Academy with 2 touchdowns.

The win bumped Jefferson Davis Academy's record up to 5-1. The defeat dropped Newberry Academy/Cambridge Academy/Palmetto Christian Academy's record to 1-4.

Next week Jefferson Davis Academy take on King Academy at 7:30 PM. King Academy took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Jefferson Davis Academy's good fortune. Newberry Academy/Cambridge Academy/Palmetto Christian Academy will be staying on the road, facing off against Richard Winn Academy. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for Newberry Academy/Cambridge Academy/Palmetto Christian Academy and four for Richard Winn Academy.
