Volleyball Recap: Westhill Comes Up Short

Westhill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Amity Regional Spartans. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 20-25, 25-19.

Griffin Davies was nothing short of spectacular for Amity Regional: he had 14 digs and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Davies a new career-high. Prem Gandhi was another key player, getting 15 digs.

Westhill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Amity Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Westhill has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Wilton on the 11th. As for Amity Regional, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hand on the 11th.
