Soccer Game Preview: North Lincoln vs. West Iredell

The North Lincoln Knights will venture away from home to face off against the West Iredell Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lincoln's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

North Lincoln had taken North Iredell down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. North Lincoln fell 2-0 to North Iredell.

North Lincoln was without their leading scorer, Jamie Curry, in Friday's game. With Curry sidelined, Alaina Lutz got her first action of the season.

Meanwhile, West Iredell won against Statesville on Tuesday with nine goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. West Iredell put the hurt on Statesville with a sharp 9-1 win. West Iredell haven't had any issues with Statesville recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

West Iredell's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for North Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2.

North Lincoln beat West Iredell by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 1-0. Does North Lincoln have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Iredell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
