Loyola had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Huntington Beach Oilers. This was a revenge game for the Cubs: when they faced off against the Oilers last Wednesday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Loyola's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Huntington Beach, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.

Loyola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Mira Costa on the 8th. As for Huntington Beach, they will face off against Los Alamitos at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give Los Alamitos their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
