Basketball Recap: Willard Comes Up Short

Willard suffered their closest loss since January 19, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Parkview Vikings by a score of 55-52. The Tigers lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in December of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-29 score last time.

Willard has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Parkview, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

While Willard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
