Softball Recap: Northern Nash Takes a Loss

If Northern Nash was riding high fresh off their 21-0 takedown of Rocky Mount two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell 10-5 to the Franklinton Red Rams on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Red Rams this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-8 defeat on April 4th.

Emily Clay was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hunt, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Northern Nash's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Franklinton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7.

Northern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklinton, they have already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against Southern Nash on the 29th.
