Basketball Recap: North Olmsted Takes a Loss

North Olmsted was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 57-38 fall against the Westlake Demons. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 510th, while the Demons are ranked 173rd).

Despite the loss, North Olmsted still got an impressive performance from Rose Lane, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. Lane is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Peyton Johnson was another key player, putting up three points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

North Olmsted's record is now 4-8. As for Westlake, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Olmsted will welcome Midview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westlake, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against North Olmsted at 7:00 p.m.
