Basketball Game Preview: Many Tigers vs. Red River Bulldogs

Many and Red River are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Many Tigers will face off against the Red River Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Many is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lakeside, posting a 70-38 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Warriors are ranked 318th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Red River came into Tuesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Pineville on Tuesday as Red River made off with a 57-37 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted since December 16, 2024.

Red River's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Many, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.

Many came up short against Red River when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 44-39. Can Many avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
