Baseball Recap: Milby Wins Going Away Against Westbury

Milby was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Westbury on Wednesday. The Milby Buffs put the hurt on the Westbury Huskies with a sharp 8-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Buffs in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won five in a row.

Milby got a great performance from Michael Medina as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Furthermore, Medina didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

At the plate, Ethan Ramirez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marco Ramos, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Milby's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Westbury, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Milby will have a chance to go back-to-back against Westbury: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
