After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gray Stone Day, Albemarle was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the North Stanly Comets. Albemarle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by four goals or more this season.

They hit North Stanly with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Paul Mendikute (4), Jack Sanchez, and Moi Carrillo.

Albemarle's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for North Stanly, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albemarle will venture away from home to face off against The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - Concord Campus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Albemarle will be up against The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - Concord Campus' rather soft defense (which has allowed 10.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Stanly, they will challenge Union Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
