Volleyball Recap: Schalmont Comes Up Short

Schalmont lost against Ichabod Crane on October 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sabres lost 3-0 to the Riders. The Sabres have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-18, 25-15.

Nadia Sawyer paced Schalmont's offense, picking up six kills. Sawyer got some help from Olivia Dagostino and her six assists. Brooke Howlan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Schalmont's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Ichabod Crane, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Schalmont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Voorheesville on the 23rd. As for Ichabod Crane, they will take on Columbia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
