Horse Creek Academy has struggled against Curtis Baptist recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Curtis Baptist to victory were Mia Price and Maci Butler. Price scored 18 points along with six steals, while Butler scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Price hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Price, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Horse Creek Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Curtis Baptist, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.
Horse Creek Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Curtis Baptist, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mead Hall Episcopal School at 6:15 p.m. on January 26th. Mead Hall Episcopal School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
