Recap: Canyon Ridge Riverhawks vs. Ridgevue Warhawks
The Canyon Ridge Riverhawks won against the Ridgevue Warhawks on Thursday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Canyon Ridge came out on top against Ridgevue by a score of 61-53. Winning may never get old, but Canyon Ridge sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Despite the loss, Ridgevue had strong showings from Tucker Tiddens, who scored 20 points, and Javonte Boles, who scored 16 points. The matchup was Tiddens' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Keegan Randall was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Canyon Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Ridgevue, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Canyon Ridge will be playing at home against Wood River at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Wood River is ranked 63rd, while Canyon Ridge is ranked 50th). As for Ridgevue, they will head out on the road to face off against Vallivue at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Vallivue knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Ridgevue likes a good challenge.
