Pewaukee is 2-8 against Pius XI Catholic since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pirates will head out to square off against the Popes at 4:30 p.m. Pewaukee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Pewaukee came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Whitnall, falling 9-3. The loss was the Pirates' first of the season.

Lili Levas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Mya Bloedow also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Pius XI Catholic lost 12-6 to Racine Lutheran on Wednesday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pewaukee fell to 4-1. As for Pius XI Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Pewaukee couldn't quite finish off Pius XI Catholic when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
