Basketball Recap: Keystone Cobras vs. Faith Academy Flames
Keystone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Faith Academy Flames, falling 48-28. The game was a close 24-21 at the break, but unfortunately for the Cobras it sure didn't stay that way.
Faith Academy was led to victory by Natalie Weems and Hadley Shipley. Weems dropped a double-double on 22 points and 20 boards, while Shipley almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Weems is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games she's played.
Keystone's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Faith Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-18.
Keystone will be playing in front of their home fans against Live Oak Classical at 2:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Faith Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
