Volleyball Recap: Ellie Roth and Maria Schulte Secure Win for Archbishop Mcnicholas

Archbishop McNicholas saw some tournament action on Thursday. They put the hurt on DePaul Cristo Rey with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Archbishop McNicholas was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-8, 25-5.

Leading Archbishop McNicholas to victory were Maria Schulte and Ellie Roth. Schulte had six aces and six assists, while Roth had three digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Roth a new career-high in assists (16).

Archbishop McNicholas' win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
